A group of students from the Master's degree programme in Wood Technology, jointly run by the University of Applied Sciences Biel, Switzerland and the University Rosenheim, Germany, visited our company as part of a professional excursion in southern Austria and Slovenia.
The tour at Ledinek started in the production facilities of semi-finished products and machine parts at Lestro Ledinek, where Technical Director Boris Vizjak showed the group our modern CNC machinery and explained about the high level of digitalisation of processes within the production. This was followed by an interactive multimedia presentation of the company with a focus on the production programme, where Markus Weiss-Mosser, Managing Director of LMA added his extensive experience, and thus made it even more interesting.
Our Sales Director, Robert Mlinarič, shared his excellent knowledge of both sales strategies and our machines and lines with the students, while the young programmer Rok Cafuta provided a “live” view of the production line at one of our customers. The discussion could have gone on and on, yet we still had to do a tour of the machine assembly facilities , taken over by Andrej Ledinek from the construction department.
The communication was in English and the help of communication devices was very welcome with a group of 41. As the students themselves said, they learnt a lot of new and interesting things about the industry and were impressed by the friendly welcome. We wish them a safe journey home and a successful end of the academic year, and hopefully we meet again, perhaps as partners in business.
