Edge gluing press with hot-melt for fast assembly bonding of solid wood laminations.
Single layer panels for CLT cross layers are pre-assembled from edge glued laminations.
Such pre-assembled single layer panels can be used in the advanced and high-capacity production of CLT or other similar products.

Main advantages by using edge glued panels in CLT production

Safe production flow; single laminations are assembled to complete layers 1 step before the panel assembly
The effect of crook, twist and bow of single laminations is largely decreased
Faster adhesives in the surface bond; as handling preassembled layers the security time span, for open time, can be shorter
Cheaper than conventional edge gluing; lower investment and less space requirements
Single layers of the panel can be made air tight; wind tight CLT with 3 layers
Multiple panel pressing without separation foil possible; No glue runs through the loose layer into the table or the panel below
Assembly bonding with hot-melt; less waste, no glue mixing, long shelf time
Hotmelt amount app. 0,3 – 1,0 kg/m³; depending on width and thickness of laminations
Lower production costs per m³; more press cycles can be made per shift due to less required open time
