Mosser gave the go-ahead for cross laminated timber production!

A pioneering investment has recently been initiated by Mosser Leimholz GmbH and the order for a complete cross-laminated timber production line was placed with Ledinek. At the Randegg site, the new production line will go into operation in 2023.
The production capacity will be 55,000 m³ per year and 35 new jobs will be created. The supply of raw material is provided by sawn timber from the company's own sawmill.

Starting in 2023, Mosser Leimholz GmbH will manufacture CLT elements for walls and ceilings under the Mosser-CLT brand. With this, the innovative traditional company takes the step to become a full-range supplier.

The Mosser group of companies was founded in 1924 and is today a high-tech company for glued and sawn timber with 225 employees at 3 locations in Lower Austria. With an export quota of around 60%, Mosser has developed into an extremely successful company. The decision to complete the already large product range for solid timber construction systems has matured in the past years.

When selecting the supplier for the CLT line, the owner-managed family company relied on the latest findings and technical standards. In mid-April, the decision was made in favour of Ledinek as the main supplier. The decisive factor was the extensive experience with CLT systems. "We are convinced of the innovative approach and the coherent system concept," says owner and managing director Mag. Reinhard Mosser. This avoids unnecessary or problematic interfaces.

Ledinek will deliver everything from the raw wood input to the handover of the formatted and sanded CLT elements to the CNC machining centers - including the master computer "X-Lam Manager"! The individual layers are prepared into single-layer glued wood panels with the Z-Press, which promises airtightness and a higher pressing capacity on the XM-Press.
