The heavy-duty MULTIPLAN RIPP machine is specially designed for multiblade splitting with calibration of strips and can be used in the production of solid wood panels or other similar manufacturing processes. With optional first planing spindles, it is also particularly suitable as a universal planer that can cater to all the demands of versatile production.

Splitting before calibration results in considerably better yield, due to the fact that only the cup of the strips is planed off, rather than the cup of the entire board. A strong, directly driven saw unit splits the board in multiple strips; subsequently the strips are packed together to form a layer, which is than calibrated from top and bottom.
