Interview with Lennart Johansson, owner and managing director of TURE JOHANSSONS TRÄVARU AB, and Peter Nilsson, production manager in Klevshult the 23rd of March 2005.
Lennart: We think that the business side and the purchase and delivery of the machine were handled in a very professional way. We had no problems with that. Lennart and Peter: when we gave Ledinek our specification (setting of all tools, synchronization of feed speed with mechanical handling and so on…) their answer was: we can solve that!
Another supplier would not listen to our ideas and said that it could not be done.

But Ledinek had a keen ear to our problem. And they delivered very good solutions.
Lennart: The set up program of the Ledinek planing machine works very fast. When we ordered it I believed it would take much longer time to change the setting of the tools then it does in reality.

Peter: Tooling system is good. We can do all the things we would like to do with the planing machine. We can change dimensions very often and it goes very fast. We can run our horizontal tools for a very long time (approximately 500.000 m) thanks to the possibility to move the horizontal cutter heads sideways!
The electronic set up program of positioning systems of the machine also works very well. The surface of the planed wood comes very nicely out of the machine.

Lennart: The short set up time of the Ledinek planing machine makes it possible for us to change dimensions 3-4 times a day. Thanks to this our delivery times have been reduced. And our customer can call us in the morning and we can deliver in the afternoon. We are forced due to demands from our customers to change the setting of the machine very often. With our old machines and setting systems we would not have been able to serve our clients the way we are with the Ledinek system.

Our clients are in fact giving us praise because we can deliver so fast!
Another good thing with the Ledinek setting system is that it also saves a lot of work. We did not have to employ extra personnel in the planing mill in spite of the fact that we added a Ledinek planing machine!
Peter: The shaving extraction works very nice. There are hardly any shavings in the sound enclosure room. Since we are using cold air from outside we sometimes have a problem with powder snow that comes in to the sound enclosure room. But we will find a solution to that problem.
